Toshiba to halt domestic television production, as has Hitachi

In light of falling prices (and falling profits), electronics giant Toshiba has halted domestic production of televisions and will focus on more profitable ventures with an eye to double their operating profit by 2014-2015.

Together, Toshiba and Samsung dominate the world market for NAND Flash chips, many of which are used in Apple iPhones.

Apple Television delayed, or is this just hype?

We linked to an article on the Service Care Facebook account that looks like half advertisement, and half analysis. It's hard to tell, but it looks like Apple Television is either going to be delayed until 2014, or they're just stirring up excitement.

Inspector at Apple's Foxconn factory comments on working conditions

The inspector seems to think the problems with the factory are not with working conditions, but with cultural shock and lack of emotional support...

Also, many people are shocked that a impartial third-party inspector would grant an interview so quickly in the middle of an investigation...

Apple seeks to ban Samsung Galaxy sales in U.S.

Apple alleges that the Samsung Galaxy violates four of Apple's patents. I don't now what those patents are, and I really like my iPhone 4s, but this smacks of anti-competion in the face of Samsung's strong advertising campaign for their new phone.
