Line art and lettering for our new fuel efficient vans.

You should be seeing two of these on the roads of Alabama (and more, if we really like them).

It's called the Transit Connect, and they seem nice, and nicely sized for equipment and parts for repairs in the field.

Fun, live kids program promotes love of reading

The Bear Show: Reading Adventures for Children is a live interactive stage show that energizes children’s interest in literacy. The show is performed by the Reading Bear who leads children on an adventurous storytelling. Using props, sound effects and costumes, the audience becomes part of the story. The show concludes with a hilarious game show about books and two original songs. The grades targeted for the show are K - 5.

Watch the video. This is a fun show, and donations will help teach kids to love reading.

When economic times are tough, these programs often get the shaft. I think this is a worth program.

Birmingham's Sidewalk Film Festival needs your help. (It's cool, too).

If they can raise $13k by June 26th (or 25th?) 2011, they have backers that will match that dollar for dollar.

It's a unique opportunity, and donations can be as low as $5 to as much as you want.

I gave, because I support the Sidewalk Film Festival. It's one of the best things about this city.
